Project and participating photographers in the Day and Beyond project 2008

Day and Beyond comprises of a body of work produced by a group of 10 photographers from different parts of the island with varied experience. A workshop programme conducted by photographer Jagath Dheerasekara who also curated the exhibition is the source of the images for Day and Beyond. The topic – Day and Beyond - has a large canvas. The participants express themselves through different subjects that relate the topic to their individual experiences. Thus the photographic exploration of the theme has produced a collection of photographs that are richly diverse in subject matter as well as styles. The project's focus was chiefly on documentary photography and it comprises of the following modules.

- conceptualizing
- capturing images
- editing
- post production

- printing
- framing

- exhibition planning
- preparation of collateral such as catalogue, poster and PR on the exhibition.
